We recommend beginning this placement process 8+ weeks before your desired start date. However, we have been able to complete placements less than 2 weeks in the past, but cannot be guaranteed.

  • Complete our Nanny Placement Form 

  • Sign engagement documents granting permission to begin the search

  • Complete the non refundable $150 Launch Fee

  • Schedule an administration meeting to finalize placement details

Launch Fee Includes:

  • "Launches" your nanny search with our Coastal Child Care Team!

  • An in depth virtual meeting with an administrator to discuss your child care needs and the next steps

  • Detailed creation of your placement job posted directly on our website to attract more applicants 

  • Based on your specific criteria, we will personally match you with our team members most suitable for your position

  • Access to your Coastal Child Care profile to directly see these interested caregivers' resumes

  • Detailed questionnaires depending on your needs, provided for your use in interviews 

  • Review applied caregivers to your placement opening

  • Schedule in person Meet and Greets with preferred caregivers applicants on our App

  • Check out our caregiver requirements here

Step Three

Meet and Greets:

  • Allows you to interview the nanny candidate in person, and allow them to meet the entire family

  • Coastal Child Care provides interview questionnaire specific for your family use

  • Scheduled and paid on the Coastal Child Care App/Platform

  • Hourly rate of $30/hour to compensate the caregiver for their time

  • Hourly rate and guaranteed hours negotiations allowed during this time 

Step Four

  • Finalize rates and guaranteed hours and make the caregiver an offer!

  • Rates and Pricing:

    • Caregiver Rate: The agreed-upon rate between you and your nanny. This is the negotiable rate that you can negotiate with nanny candidates

    • Nanny Taxes (Additional 20%): The IRS required taxes associated with nanny employment.

    • Service Fee (Additional 25%): A service fee for the continued support from our agency's services. 

    • Example: If the agreed caregiver rate is $16/hour + 20% nanny taxes + 25% service fees = $23.20/hour  your family will be charged

  • Caregiver Rates mandatorily start at $15/hour ($21.75/hour for family charged total), no offers less than this will move forward in our placement process. 

  • Guaranteed Hours start at 10 per week, but must range 5-10 hours of regular weekly hours (ex: normal 40 hours/week, 30+ guaranteed hours)

  • Guaranteed Weekly Hours:

    • Refer to an agreement between the nanny and the employing family that ensures a minimum number of paid working hours per week, regardless of whether all those hours are utilized. This commitment provides financial stability and job security for the nanny.

Service Fee?

  • Our service fee covers the meticulous screening and vetting process of highly qualified nannies, ensuring their suitability and compatibility with your family's specific requirements. 

  • Additionally, it supports ongoing administrative tasks, such as contract preparation and attorney fees, background checks, biweekly invoicing, payroll services, up to date CPR and First Aid, costly liability insurance, workman's compensation, and time tracking application. 

  • The service fee enables us to provide continuous support throughout the placement, offering guidance on negotiations, facilitating communication between parties, monthly bonus opportunities for our team members, addressing any concerns that may arise, backup care if a nanny is sick or on vacation, quarterly team-building meetings, and the unusual instance of the replacement of a nanny. 

  • Ultimately, it is an investment in the comprehensive and professional services that make your nanny experience with us exceptional.
