Unfortunately, after FIVE YEARS of serving cities across Virginia and North Carolina, we have decided to close our occasional care. This was not an easy decision, and many tears were shed to come to this conclusion.
As many of you know, our old Coastal Child Care App software was bought out by a new App software. Sadly, we had no choice, and were forced to switch app programing software with no notice. After a couple weeks of our clients and caregivers experiencing endless issues with this new software, we decided it was best to close our App at this time.
HOWEVER, Coastal Child Care will still be supplying an outlet for our clients to book our amazing caregivers, and our vetted caregivers to pick up occasional babysitting shifts! We have opened Coastal Child Care Facebook Groups for our clients and caregivers to interact to fill babysitting needs. These groups will allow flexibility with rates for clients and caregivers! Rates and payment methods do need to be discussed and confirmed before the booking date.
To join as a caregiver: Request to join on Facebook! If you are currently on the Coastal Child Care team, no additional steps will be needed. If you have never been on the Coastal Child Care Team before, you will need to email hiring@coastalchildcare.com to undergo our vetting process and pay for a background check!
To join as a client: Parents please select your area's Facebook group where care is needed. Please input your information and request to join the group. You will be sent a $25 Joining Fee invoice* to your email. Once this invoice is paid you will be accepted into the group and you can post your babysitting needs!
*Why a Joining Fee? This allows our hiring administration to continue interviewing, vetting and certifying new
babysitters to join the group!
Again, we are devastated over this decision, but unfortunately, we felt we were left with no option. We apologize for any inconvenience this brings to your family, and hope these new Facebook Groups will help fill your babysitting needs as well!
**Please understand these occasional caregivers are NOT hired by Coastal Child Care, but HAVE been vetted by us and have our stamp of approval! While our administration is here to guide any family or babysitter in the right direction, any cancellations, miss payments, etc. are NOT Coastal Child Care responsibilities.
